A VERY long overdue update to say that we have PCS'd from Okinawa in early August.  I enjoyed my time on the island so much and while I was sad to leave, I am excited about our new location in northern CA.  I have been working on some personal art projects for my family and have been working on several portraits in pencil... will be posting those in the near future.

Takako and the Great Typhoon will still be for sale at the Kid's Cottage on Camp Lester.

Wow, life can be busy at times!  I have not updated my website for a few months, but I'm trying to get things back on track this fall.  We are all very happy with the response and publicity we have received for "Takako and the Great Typhoon".  Since it's debut in Okinawa, we have been featured on radio spots, book review websites and more recently, a great article in the September issue of Okinawa Living magazine (picture shown).  I am currently working with Kelly on the next shipment of books, which should arrive in Okinawa next month!  When I receive the books I will be updating this website as to where they will be sold on the island.

I am also looking forward to working on some new pastel pieces this fall.  I had to take a break over the summer due to the early pregnancy "joys" of some pretty severe nausea.  Luckily, this had subsided and I will be getting back to the drawing board soon!
